open. honest. anonymous.
no name. no face. no followers.
someone just said this.
I'm jealous of my best friend. every day.
how it works
Write the thing you have been carrying. A thought, a confession, a feeling. Completely anonymous. Nobody knows it’s you.
Once you say something, you hear what others have said. Stories appear one at a time, delivered slowly, the way words deserve to be read.
Stories surface through resonance, not optimization. Save what stays with you. Skip what doesn’t. No engagement score, no ranking.
why Real.
No location tracking. No data selling. No connection to your real identity. Ever. The anonymity is structural — not just promised.
No follower counts. No public likes. No profiles. Everyone on Real. is equal. What matters is only what was said.
The algorithm optimises for what moves you — not what provokes you. Real. surfaces content that matches your emotional landscape.
Writing into a void that listens. Once it is out there it is out there. Your words reach someone who needed them.
the feed
a small, quiet stream. no infinite scroll. no autoplay. no algorithm punishing you for looking away.
I don't love my job. I've never said that out loud.
I think about her every day. she doesn't know.
I'm tired of pretending I'm fine.
I haven't told my mom I dropped out.
I feel most alone at parties.
I still don't know what I want to do.
I'm afraid I'm going to become my father.
I love them, but I don't think I can stay.
I miss who I was before the internet.
I haven't cried in six years. I want to.

the things people most need to say are the things they never say at all. Real. is the place for those things.

about Real.
Real. is an anonymous social platform built around a single rule: you have to say something before you can hear what anyone else has said. Give before you receive. No followers. No engagement counts. No algorithm optimising for outrage. Every post is text, every user is anonymous, every read is earned by a contribution.
The platform is built for the audiences, Gen Z especially, who have visibly stopped using mainstream social media to talk about anything that matters, and have migrated to anonymous spaces to do it instead. Real. brings that anonymity into a dedicated, longform, calm place. Headquartered in Brantford, Ontario. Public launch December 2026.
the founder
founding story
The first version of this story sounds like a manifesto. The second sounds like an apology. The truthful one is somewhere in between.
A few years ago I started noticing that the people in my life were exhausted. Not by their jobs or their relationships. Those were fine. They were exhausted by their feeds. By the version of themselves they were performing into them. By the carefully edited reel of someone else's life landing in their pocket every twelve minutes.
When they wanted to talk about anything actually hard, a breakup, a parent dying, a thought that scared them, an ordinary Tuesday that felt heavier than it should, they didn't post about it. They texted one person. Or three people in a group chat. Or no one. The platforms that were supposed to connect us had become the opposite of safe places to be a person. They had become surveillance, with a like button.
The strange thing was that the honest places online still existed. They were just smaller. A Reddit thread at two in the morning. A specific Discord server. An anonymous confession app that nobody's parents had heard of. In those rooms people said true things to strangers, things they couldn't say to anyone who knew them. The anonymity wasn't a bug. It was the entire feature.
I started building Real. because I wanted those rooms to feel intentional instead of accidental. Anonymous, yes. But also slow. Long-form. Without followers, without engagement counts, without an algorithm that rewards rage. A place where the thing you write actually has to come out of you before you're allowed to read what came out of anyone else.
I don't know if it will work. Most things don't. But the assumption underneath the project is that there is real demand for a place to be honest without being seen, and that the current major platforms have moved so far from that need that they can't be reformed into it. Something new has to exist. Something built by people who actually wanted to build it.
That's what Real. is trying to be. We launch publicly in December 2026.

The brand mark is Real. Capitalised "Real" with a period. The period is the iconic element. Always include it. Never REAL or Real alone.
The product is best described as an anonymous social platform, sometimes anonymous longform or anonymous text-only. Avoid social network. That is the thing Real. is built against.
The core mechanic is called the gate, or give before you receive. Posts are posts. Reactions are reactions. The voice is measured, literary, serif. Real. is dark mode by default. Soft purple, #9b6fd4, is the only accent.
